The objective of this article is to encourage seniors and pensioners and those who are retiring soon to investigate how the internet can influence your life very positively.

I am a Pensioner of 66 years of age and have been blessed with a wonderful life in many ways, not the least becoming involved (and frustrated) with computers and the internet from their inception.

I am no internet expert; frankly I don't believe that anyone could claim to be an Internet expert. But there many niche experts. Believe me these niche experts know there stuff. It is to these niche experts I turn to on a daily basis to improve my knowledge and complete projects.

The following few articles will be written in plain language for you the senior and/or pensioner to get the basics of the internet and enjoy it.

The next series of articles will be dedicated to you being able to find and enjoy your "niche" on the internet.

Information on the Internet is over the top, limitless.

You will want to focus! or you will be driven mad by entering a website and following links, link here, link again, follow this link, link, link, link...

All this will be very interesting but at the end of the day you probably won't remember why and where started.

Millions of people all over the world log on the Internet daily: Click the following link (normally underlined and in blue) Wikipedia information. Do it and see the result. How's this website for information overload. I wonder if anyone has actually read this entire website!

Firstly reading portions of this Wikipedia website will give you a good idea of the influence of the internet and secondly if you wanted to create a link as I have done ask Google, plain and simple. e.g. "How do I create a link" You will get 475,000,000 pages telling you how. The internet does not miss a trick.

Let's have a look at some ideas for you to do on the internet.

Read ebooks. Complete a quiz.
Communicate. Find like-minded folks, talk to them, exchange ideas
Do business, make money
