Working group for long hours is counter-

How did we reach this 24 by 7 world? A person I know complains that the Blackberry. Even before the Blackberry pager, even if we, the people had made easily accessible. Oh, certainly without cell phones maybe our answer was less immediately, but we can always be another 24 to 7 response.

When I started my career at AT & T people to watch a 5:00 clock 08:00. I had a position in sales, customer service, which helps the customer to find his equipment after it was ordered recorded. The pendulum has swung in the opposite direction. We are working longer and harder these days and is nowvery difficult time for us to take themselves. I struggle with this myself. Last summer I had my first vacation without my computer or phone and went to Italy
two weeks. Scary! I survived and surprisingly last year was my best year in business. Perhaps because of the holiday?

This year I've already set my vacation in July in my calendar and made plans for Santa Fe, New Mexico to go. I tell my clients it is important to take some boundaries around the time we set forus and our families. I'm very good time on family planning, but for me the time of removal is often lost in the race. What about you?

Sure, I work for myself so I do not answer to anyone. If you work for a company, it is increasingly difficult to take care of themselves. The culture may reward those who put in extra time. The work during the holiday season can actually be a requirement not written.

Not only do we need to leave on a regular basis, but we also needTime for reflection and contemplation during the day. These are can be very difficult if you spend in a culture that rewards people work more hours in the office. Got a few minutes of quiet time during the day can be difficult but not impossible. Making a few minutes of quiet reflection a priority in your life is a journey, some of that time you need for you to get. When I was a busy mother and myThe children knew that when I got home from work, I went to my room for a few minutes before cooking dinner and / or help with homework started. I need this time to relax and refocus.

Even if you give just a few minutes, may be useful. Hopefully, if you have success with small amounts of some quiet time, begin to add more!

We need professionals, entrepreneurs and members of the "step up and do voice on this issue. Professionals to meet demandtheir vacation time. Entrepreneurs and managers must begin to support some time during the week, day and year.
We must reward their employees for taking all their vacation time each year.
